New Vehicle Sales Tax Deduction

For purchases of new vehicles between 2/17/09 and the end of 2009, qualified motor vehicle sales taxes are deductible by individual taxpayers who itemize their deductions. The deduction is also allowed to those claiming the standard deduction.
